Weather presenter shares health update after collapsing on live TV

A weather presenter who shocked viewers and colleagues after she collapsed during a live TV broadcast in the US has shared a health update with her followers after the incident.

The CBS Los Angeles meteorologist had just been introduced during the 7am KCAL News broadcast with co-anchors Nichelle Medina and Rachel Kim on Saturday, when she became pale and collapsed to the ground.

Footage of the scary moment was shared online, showing the hosts throwing to a commercial as the incident unfolded.

Carlson Schwartz was quick to assure viewers that she is "going to be OK" and has since posted that she has been able to go home from hospital.

"I'm out of the hospital and doing okay. Lots of sleep and even some pizza," Carlson Schwartz shared in an Instagram story.

Footage of the moment showed the presenter standing at the desk before her eyes rolled back and she collapsed forward. Her legs then gave out and she fell to the ground.?

As it became clear she had collapsed, Medina said: "You know, we're going to go ahead and go to break, right now."

Carlson Schwartz shared an update on her Facebook page later that same afternoon, writing: "Thanks for all the texts, calls, and well wishes. I am going to be ok!"

And now she's revealed ?she had suffered a head injury and was briefly hospitalised over the weekend.?

"I appreciate all the prayers as I recover. Thankfully, it's not my heart this time," she added.

A similar incident occurred in 2014 while she was working at a different station.

The former Mrs. California previously opened up about a miraculous recovery from a heart condition after she was diagnosed with a leaky valve at the time.

Fans shared their well wishes on the post with one person commenting: "So scary!! I am glad you are ok!"

"Hope all is well and you are doing OK! That was scary!" another wrote.
