Woman confronts mother-in-law who concealed husband's affair: 'I told her what I really thought of her'
My mother-in-law Donna made my life hell when I was married to her son for five years.?
My then-husband Ben was juggling multiple women during our marriage and it took me a long time to realise he was cheating on me.
Several people had warned me Ben was a notorious "player", and they doubted he would ever change.?

I refused to believe any of his friends, and even his sister told me I was crazy to be settling down with Ben because she didn't believe he would ever stop playing around.?
What I didn't realise is Ben was still in love with his ex girlfriend Jenny and she had remained close to my mother-in-law.
Jenny was still in Ben's life because they wanted to remain friends. I was suspicious of their relationship many times, but Donna told me I was being paranoid.?
I later found out she knew that Ben was still having a relationship with Jenny and she'd lied to my face about what she really knew.
One weekend. Ben announced he was going on a "boys' weekend" and I was shocked when I saw his phone a few days later and there was a photo of Jenny.

I hit the roof and wanted to know if she had gone on the so-called "boys' weekend".?Ben laughed at me and said it was an old photo, which was absolute bull!??
I realise now he had a romantic weekend with her and lied to me, but it was his mother's lies that upset me the most. I thought she liked me, as she would often talk about how she couldn't wait for Ben and I to become parents, so it felt like a huge betrayal.
So, after this "boys' weekend", Donna had come over and I was in tears, thinking Ben was cheating on me with Jenny. She looked me in the eye and said there was no way Ben was that kind of man and that I was being silly.
She told me she knew "for a fact" Jenny had not been with Ben that weekend because Jenny at been at her house.?
Of course, that was a huge lie. It was bad enough to have Ben stab me in the back, but for my mother-in-law to do it as well was just next-level upsetting. And when Ben eventually dumped me, and moved in with Jenny, I couldn't wait to tell Donna what I thought of her.

Some people might say I was being childish, but I went to her house and called her every name under the sun! It felt good when she apologised but I hope karma hits her in the face one day.?
It feels like a long time since I closed that chapter of my life, but it was only two years ago.
I'm lucky to have met a new man who loves me and is faithful to me, and his mother is a lovely woman and I know she would never lie to me the way Donna did so many times.
