Home hacks guru and professional organiser Anita Birges? recommends using shaving cream to get your shower screens looking crystal clear again.

The hack is one of three she demonstrated in a video showcasing her favourite shower cleaning tricks.

But before Birges even starts cleaning the shower glass, she removes the seal at the bottom of the door, so you can really get stuck in and give the entire door a good once-over.

"This is the fun part. Spray the shaving foam all over the glass doors, grab a brush and give it a good old fashioned scrub down," Anita said.

"The shaving foam will not only clean your shower, leave it smelling great?, but it also leaves a protective layer on the shower door, which helps prevent fogging and limescale."

Birges didn't just scrub the main glass panel, she also tackled the edges of the screen and the seal, to really give it a good clean.

To finish, wipe the shower glass with a microfibre cloth.?

The best bathroom cleaning hacks that actually work

Of course, there's not much point having sparkling shower glass without clean tiles and grout.

To keep your tiles and grout in good condition and mould-free Birges suggests trying her DIY spray?.

This spray is made up of one cup of vinegar, 10 drops of clove oil and 10 drops of tea tree oil.

These ingredients are a powerful combination because clove oil is known to kill mould spores and tea tree oil prevents the mould from returning.

Vinegar is also an effective cleaner because its acidity breaks down grease and grime?, and it has antifungal and antibacterial properties.

Once the spray is ready, spray it all over your tiles and grout, then clean with a cloth and use a scrubbing brush to get right into the corners of the shower?.

"Leave it to set in for about 20 minutes and give the tiles a good rinse over," Birges said.

?At this point you might think you're pretty much done, but one thing we often forget is the showerhead.

This needs to be cleaned every now and then because limescale builds up in and around the holes where the water comes out.

"This also affects the water pressure, so we need to give it a good clean," she added.

?To remove the limescale, Birges fills up a plastic bag with white vinegar and then ties the bag over the showerhead.

"Leave the showerhead to sit inside this vinegar solution for about 10 minutes. Take it off and turn on the shower?."

By now your shower will be looking better than ever, which will make for a far more relaxing space to wash off the day in.
