To find out how to get the Scandi minamalist luxe look for Christmas, 9Honey Living spoke to Spotlight's buyer for home dจฆcor, Corey Childs.

According to Childs, the Scandi-inspired Christmas look has become popular with Aussies because of its simplicity and warmth. It also "?brings a touch of 'white Christmas' down-under".

"Scandi minimalist luxe is a design style that is characterised by simple, clean lines and neutral tones. This style exudes a warm and cosy feel, unlike traditional minimalism. It also consists of natural materials, particularly blonde wood," he said.

The best thing about the Scandi minamalist luxe style is you only need to add a few pieces to get the look?.

"I recommend using some Scandi statement pieces as room accents, such as decorative table pieces with natural tones, or even a Sherpa table runner," Childs suggested.

And with Spotlight's Bouclair Scandi Magic Christmas range you can easily pick up some stunning decorations perfect for the style that are also within your budget.

Hero pieces to get the look include the wreath with greenery bow on sale for $20, the galvanized mini Christmas tree on sale for $12.50 and the large knit stocking off white on sale for $12.50.

To transform the home into the Scandi style you can combine those three pieces with Sherpa Chair Pad Off White now half price for $10 each and the Sherpa Table Runner White also half price for $20.

You could stop there, but to really get into the spirit try putting together your own shelf display, called a vignette?. A popular scene to create, and one that goes well with this style, is a Christmas village.

"?With any vignette, it is important to centre it around a light source. Consider a blonde wood, tealight candle holder like this one. I'd also include decorative pieces in varying sizes and materials, such as these miniature houses in white and wood. Adding a muted plant also lends itself to this style, especially when it has the frosted snow look."

Before you get to decorating though, you might even want to? take the opportunity to do a bit of a clean out to fully embrace the minimalist style.

"Decluttering is also key to getting this style; less is more!" Childs added.

Once Christmas is over, make sure to store your Scandi minamalist luxe pieces well so that you can use them again next year. That way you can continue to decorate in that style but will only need to add a few bits and pieces to your collection to refresh it for another year.?
