The wardrobe decluttering hack that allows you to stop doing laundry
It's a sentence I say daily; "I have nothing to wear" while staring at a closet packed to the absolute brim with clothes.
My overflowing wardrobe ?is too overwhelming to even start digging through, so I usually grab my favourite pair of jeans and whatever shirt is closest to me.
Trying to organise a full wardrobe feels like a nightmare, but one decluttering expert has revealed an absolutely brilliant hack to get through it.
Professional organiser Dr Regina Lark calls the tactic "The lazy girl laundry test" and it only has one rule จC stop doing your laundry.
?"The 'lazy girl laundry test' is my favourite no-effort organising trick! You simply stop doing laundry until you've worn everything you truly love," the expert told Good Housekeeping
"Once you're left with the 'meh' pile จC the pieces that never leave the hanger จC that's your visual cue. It's based on reality, not intention. You learn what you reach for, and that's the most honest version of your wardrobe."

One important part of the tri?ck is to remove items that are out of season and keep them to the side, before you start adding things you haven't worn from your 'meh' pile.
The method is clever because it doesn't involve any extra steps like making a donation pile, instead, it takes one step away.
The expert says it's a "judgment-free" way to ?see what clothes you actually wear.
"?You are making decisions about what to keep in real-time," she said.

"Your daily choices create the data for you to make analytical decisions about what to keep, rather than emotional decisions about what you think you love."
She says once you've removed the items you don't reach for, then ?you can donate those clothes to charity.
"If they no longer fit your life or your body, release them to someone who'll enjoy them. Selling or donating turns your closet clutter into someone else's treasure."
Once you've ?completed the lazy girl laundry test, it's probably a good idea to finally wash the clothes you do love to wear!
