Influencer breaks down in tears after being 'slandered' for son's unusual name

An influencer has shared an emotional plea for people to stop mocking her son's unusual name.
YouTube stars Liana Jade and Connor Darlington thought they'd found the perfect moniker for their son when deciding on Koazy (pronounced Cosy).
However after sharing the unique name, Jade, 24, has been inundated with cruel comments, taunting her for the left-of-field choice.

?Taking to TikTok, a tearful Jade explained she had been listening to The Unplanned Podcast when the conversation veered into unusual name choices.
Hosts Matt and Abby Howard, who also post to TikTok and Youtube, took issue with 'ridiculous' and unique names and said they 'might not be the flex that [these parents] think it is' and were 'red flags'.
While they didn't refer to Koazy specifically, Jade felt victimised by the conversation, saying she'd come across his name in the comments, which have since been turned off.
"I know this is just their opinion," she shared. "They were talking about people naming their kids new, original names. They were saying how ridiculous some of these new, unique names were."

"Basically, our baby is called Koazy, and I know it's not everybody's cup of tea, right? But people have kind of pulled our context and said that we called him Koazy because he was cosy in the womb. No, it was a name we already had."
Jade shared that while she did get lots of comments about him being 'cosy' in her belly, this reinforced their choice, rather than gave them the idea for it. ?
Adding she'd found it confronting to see her child's name mocked so publicly. ?
"Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But it's just different when there's this comment section open on such a big influencer's video of people จC fully-grown adults just sat there slandering my baby's name," she said.

The viral clip has since notched up more than 6.8 million views, with many fans jumping to reassure Jade over the name choice.
"I think koazy is such a cute name," said one. "It's ok hunny, don't cry princess, we love you," said another.
"It's an amazing name! They just don't have good taste in names!?" agreed another.
"Your baby, your decision. It's a name, it doesn't define him negatively. Be proud of your choice and your baby?," yet another added.
"Everyone has an opinion, but a name is personal to the parents who chose it and shouldn't be judged by anyone else. Stay strong?," reassured one fan.
While another said: "Oh my god people are too cruel?."
