The average Australia family includes two parents and two children
This leaves most homes perfectly placed to take advantage of popular 'family of four' discounts at theme parks, fun fairs, zoos, cinemas, and other family-friendly activities.
But what about those families with one parent, or couples with one or three children?
Typically, they cannot take advantage of 'family of four' discounts, which can leave them out of pocket.

1. Look out for 'additions' offers
Head to the website of wherever you are heading to see if they have affordable additions to their 'family of four' passes.
Some venues will offer a cheap extra ticket to families จC and that can make all the difference in the form of 'additions' for adults, children, and students, as well as senior discounts for grandparents who are joining you.
2. Invite others
Invite others to join you on your day out to make up a family of four.
If you have three kids, ask another family to join you to make up enough people for two family passes, and you can divide the cost.
3. Look for alternate discounts
Keep an eye out for discount opportunities on discount websites and coupon sites.
Oftentimes this is where you'll find the best bargains that may make your day out even more affordable than paying for a family pass will.
