Chrissy Teigen has revealed she and her family travel with their late son Jack's ashes.

The famous mum revealed the family like to take the ashes along with them on vacations and says - a practice which her two other children very much like to be involved in.

In an interview with Scary Mommy, the model and cookbook author opened up about how her children like to care for baby Jack's ashes while they are travelling.

"Whether we go on a vacation or something, they always say, 'Don't forget baby Jack.' And then I have to pack him up," Teigen revealed.

The mum explained that while she and her husband told their two kids that they had lost the baby, they didn't really understand initially.

"It wasn't really until we got his ashes back, I think, that they started to be able to say, 'Okay, this happened. Here he is now. He didn't make it.'"

Since then, the parents have made it a habit to bring Jack's ashes along with them as they want their kids to know: "that he's still very much a part of our lives".

"We get to where we're going, they're like, 'Oh my gosh, he must be thirsty.' This might sound crazy to people, but they'll put a little glass of water next to his little box of ashes. And they really love being a part of it."

When the mum was asked what the family plans on doing with the ashes in the future she opened up to say: "maybe one day we might release him."

The parents lost their third child in 2020 after Teigen was taken to the hospital after suffering partial placenta abruption and excessive bleeding.

Last month Teigen honoured the first anniversary of her baby's death with an emotional post on Instagram.

She shared a photo crying in the hospital bed alongside husband John Legend, being comforted after loosing Jack.

She captioned the photo, "To the son we almost had. a year ago you gave me the greatest pain I could ever imagine to show me I could survive anything, even if I didn't want to".
