'Love this family': Toddler's disastrous birthday party leaves internet in hysterics

By Naomi White|

K?ids' birthday parties are always chaotic. But one little girl will have a party to remember forever - for all the wrong reasons. And it all starts with one very epic cake fail.

Eva and Kenzie, from the podcast It's Ok Sweetheart, posted a clip capturing the mayhem on TikTok. Having first been posted to Reddit, it quickly went viral on the video site.

In it, we see a little girl, Reece (Kenzie's daughter), sitting down eagerly awaiting her birthday cake. So far, so good. Until the point Eva brings out the cake, and everything starts to unravel.

?The cake, which should have been a 'pull me up cake' กช one where a doll sits encased in a mound of cake, with a clear cup around the top. When the cup is removed, thick glittery icing is supposed to flow out, covering the cake to appear like the doll's dress.

Reece's, however, didn't quite go to plan. When Eva brought the cake over and lifted the cup, a thin, watery liquid whooshed out, looking more like water than icing. Before the doll falls from the cake.

At this, Eva bursts out laughing before telling the gathered family and friends that she's ?peed her pants and walking away from the table, while a hand can be seen quickly trying to put the doll back in place.

"I just peed my pants," she said, grabbing at her stomach.

When Eva and Kenzie's grandma walks closer to the cake someone shouts out: "You just stepped in her pee!". And grandma jokes "I need some new socks".

Before Reece chimes in: "I didn't do that!"?, before looking sadly at the cake and asking "What happened to this?!".

The clip has since been viewed close to 29 million times, with many on TikTok? empathising with Eva.

"Oh Eva, we've all been there," said one. "Girl I feel that," added another.

Others were confused, but heartened, by the chaos. ?

"A series of unfortunate events," surmised one. "This gets funnier each time," added another. ?"Love this family," agreed a third.

"The vibe in that room is just chaotic," said another fan on Reddit.

In a podcast episode, the pair discuss the party and reveal the many things that went wrong with the cake.

Eva forgot the cream, so used milk in place of this, forgot the clear container to put on top so used a random cup and the Barbie was too tall for the cake, so they snapped her legs off.

"We were singing happy birthday and Eva pulls it up," Kenzie shared,

"Recce went from being so excited to so confused, because it had no legs and it just falls over and it was just this big pile of brown. The sprinkles were purple and bright but all the colours mixed together."
