Little girl's sweet birthday surprise after mum passes of cancer three months before

Losing a parent is hard at any age, but when you just are seven years old it is devastating. That's why Chloe wanted to make her little sister Charlotte's eighth birthday, less than three months after their mother died, a special one.
Sadly the thoughtful big sister's efforts were initially in vain when only one child in Charlotte's class RSVPed to her invite. Chloe took to TikTok to share her disappointment and sadness for her sister - and that's when magic happened.
Kind strangers who were touched by Chloe and Charlotte's story came together to give the little girl a birthday celebration better than she could ever have imagined.

The birthday party had everything from amazing decorations, pony rides, a jeep drive-by, an interactive reptile show and most importantly, a bunch of new friends for her to celebrate with - all thanks to strangers from the internet who went out of their way to show Charlotte some love in these tough times.

"This birthday changed my life, it changed my sister's life, and it is the least lonely this Nani and her Lilo have felt in a long time," said Chloe, a mum-of-two herself, referencing the sisters from Lilo and Stitch who have a similar dynamic. "This is the power and the good side of the internet."
Commenters were in awe of how everything unfolded.
"You're incredible. You shouldn't have to be but you are. It's comforting knowing your sister has you through all of this," one person said.
