Man asks for help with baby name dilemma and gets crushing response: 'A joke name to put on a fake gravestone at Halloween'

Choosing the perfect baby name is tough, and it can be even harder once you take into account the child's middle name or surname.?
One new mum even revealed recently she was suffering name regret because her daughter's first and second names sound like 'virus.'
Now a man is asking the internet for advice after realising his preferred name for a future baby boy may not go with their last name.

The man, who called himself Sirmixalott, took to Reddit's popular Name Nerds community this week to explain his baby name dilemma.
"I've always loved the name Noah and my last name is Lott. Is this cruel at all? My wife likes it as well," he wrote in the post entitled, "What are your thoughts on Noah Lott?"
Name Nerds is a Reddit community for those interested in names. Commenters are asked to remain civil. But it didn't take long for civility to go out the window, with many labelling the man cruel for even considering the name choice.
"I like the name Noah but with the last name it's just bad," said one.?

"'Know a lot' is pretty cruel to name a real person. Get a dog and name him Noah. Do not do that to your child," said another.
"It's a joke name to put on a fake gravestone on your front lawn at Halloween, sorry," was another comment. "Here lies Noah Lott. Couldn't keep his mouth shut. Wound up shot," wrote another.
Other commenters said, "Noah is a great name จC Noah Lott is not," and "I may not Noah Lott about many things, but I'm certain that this is not a good name choice."
"Either you give the kid a different last name or you pick a new name. Noah Lott is cruel," said another, "As much as I like punny names, this is just mean," was another comment.

Many chimed in with equally bad name examples. "I went to school with a kid named Noah Toll. Everybody called him 'Know it all'. Don't do this," said one.
Others said they knew people named 'Justin Case' and 'Justin Tyme' while others saw the funny side. "Better than Mona Lott!" quipped one.
Others felt the name had Old Testament vibes while a few were slow to cotton on. "Omg I'm only just noticing the pun there now. That's great lol." ?
At least one person was certain the post, "can't be real," to which the original poster replied, "Lol I promise it is."
He later admitted he was getting "a lot more hate" than he thought for testing out the name.
"I'm also a mailman and see lots of fun names all the time and it brings me joy," he said.
There was no word on whether we will see a Noah Lott in the future.?
