Video captures moment baby is overcome with emotion from Whitney Houston song

By Merryn Porter |

We all have a song can cause us to be overcome with emotion every time it comes on. Well, it appears babies are no different.

This little guy had all the feels when watching a music video of the late, great Whitney Houston belting out her well-known song I Will Always Love You กช and his reaction has taken the internet by storm.

A video uploaded by The Redmoon Band on TikTok earlier this week has gone viral, racking up 11.5 million views and 1.5 million likes in just three days. (Watch the video above).

The 35-second video starts with a baby boy sitting in a bouncer on a lounge positioned in front of a TV where the song is playing.

Across the screen is written 'Wait for it...' as the video pans back and forth between the TV and the baby, who sits silently enthralled.

Across the screen flashes, "Whitney got him in his feels', just as the song reaches the chorus.

The video captures the moment the song dramatically pauses before Whitney launches into the show-stopping chorus. "And I-I-I will always love you," she sings as the baby boy's lips begin to quiver and his eyes fill with tears. Across the screen crying emojis appear.

He looks at who is filming, with tear-filled eyes, as if searching for answers as to why this song is making him feel this way.

"It's OK Rowan, don't cry," the person videoing the exchange says to the baby, who flashes an unsure smile just as the video ends.

The video was uploaded with the comment, "Whitney gets me too," and a rolling on the floor laughing emoji as well as the hashtags #fyp #whitneyhouston #alwaysloveyou #cryingbaby #smilingbaby #TalkingTree.

It has received more than 35,000 comments.

"OMG is there anything more precious than this little angel right here?" wrote one. "Music is a love language for sure," said another.

"It's the only proper reaction," and "Me too baby, me too!" were other comments.

Many Whitney Houston fans also weighed in.

"I knooow baby, she meant everything to us," said one, while another commented, "She does it to us all baby."

"That gets me EVERY time as well. I am STILL sad she is gone," said another.

"She was a once-in-a-lifetime singer," wrote another. "Whitney's voice... sound of an angel. Even a child learning language can feel it," said another.

"And a musician is born," said another commenter.

Others were amazed at the baby's reaction.

"Oh that was so sweet. He really felt that in his baby heart," said one.

"This just proves how smart and intuitive babies are. They know sadness even through a song before it's even told to them," said another.

Many felt the baby's reaction meant he was an "empath" or had "been here before."

"Sensitive baby. Will be a difference-maker..." said one.

"You have an empath there... congrats, but be protective, please. It's the world's most wonderful trait, but we feel everyone's pain every single day," said another.

"This baby is an old soul who is remembering some pain," wrote someone else.

"That baby knew the song from way before. He is remembering the song," said another.

"His misses hearing those angels in heaven singing to him," was another comment.

"That really was something beautiful. Whitney is close to my mum in [the] cemetery. I'll leave a rose from your little boy to her today," said another.

It appears the baby in question is the child of one of The Redmoon Band members, as he has also made an appearance in other videos.

According to their TikTok bio, the band from Long Beach, California, likes to drink beer and play music. It looks like it can add, "and film viral TikTok videos" to its bio now as well.
