Cat with one eyes searches for his forever home: 'Striking and very friendly boy'

By Jo Abi|

A cat with one eye has captured hearts after its search for a forever home was shared by Hills Cat Rescue, a Sydney organisation rehoming kittens and cats.

The cat's name is Anson and he is nine. The ad, shared on the organisation's Facebook page, explained he is "a striking and very friendly boy."

"He loves playing with his brothers and sister and especially loves to spend time with you," the ad continued.

"You will have a hard time patting him because his first instinct is to roll onto his side and purr happily."

It ends: "If you want an affectionate and friendly boy Anson is just the one for you."

Anson only has one eye as a result of suffering a severe case of cat flu while he was a kitten, but the loss doesn't seem to bother him at all.

Perfectly communicating the cat's playfulness, the ad also lists Anson's details, reading:

Date of birth: 01.12.21

Desexed

Vaccinated

Microchipped

Wormed/Flea treated

Eyes: 1

"He looks beautiful," one person commented.

"Beautiful markings," another added.

"Sweet sweet baby," another said.

Hills Cat Rescue runs purely on donations by locals, with many litters of kittens becoming separated by their mothers during heavy rains earlier this year.
