The best royal costumes this Halloween

As November rolls around, we bid farewell to one of the most highly-anticipated events of the year กช Halloween.

It's the time when Instagram feeds are flooded with people in costume (scary or not) as everyone who is anyone whips out their best outfit. This year, we take a look at what the royals wore on the spookiest day of the year.

Princess Olympia of Greece

Marie Chantal, Crown Princess of Greece, shared a photo of her daughter Princess Olympia in full costume for Halloween.

Olympia, who matched with her friend Ella, dressed up as the infamous Grady twins from the thriller movie The Shining.

Marie praised the duo for the stellar costume choice as she shared the photo on Instagram with the caption, "And the best costume this year goes to @olympiagreece @ellarichardsr ? Happy Halloween"

Princess Eugenie's son, August

Princess Eugenie also took to Instagram to share a sweet photo of her son August Brooksbank all dressed up on his first Halloween.

August, who was born in February, was dressed up in a fuzzy blue monster onesie and is pictured playing with a bright yellow minion toy.

Eugenie shared the adorable snap with the caption, "... wonder what they are talking about.."

The princess' brother-in-law, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, commented on the photo, leaving a slew of laughing and heart emojis.

Princess Madeleine of Sweden

Sweden's Princess Madeleine and her family also got all dressed up for Halloween.

The family, who are based in the US, posed and showed off their Halloween spirit as they dressed in different costumes.

Princess Leonore and Adrienne dressed as fairies while Princess Madeleine, her husband Christopher O'Neill and son Prince Nicolas went as rock stars.
