T?he Duchess of Sussex has shut down any suggestions of doing a reality television show with Prince Harry.

Meghan's comments come one week before the release of the couple's documentary on Netflix, which she says will tell their "love story".

The docu-series will be presented as a "true documentary" about her and Prince Harry's lives, including a blunt recount of the reasons behind their decision to step away from the royal family.

But it seems a fly-on-the-wall style show about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is unlikely, with Meghan ruling it out during the final episode of her podcast Archetypes.

She was speaking with ?Real Housewives creator? and TV personality Andy Cohen.

Cohen said there had been speculation about Meghan joining the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast when she moved back to the US.

"I never heard thatกญ you mean really this is my audition for Real Housewives in Montecito?" Meghan joked.

Cohen immediately responded: "You don't have to audition, we will build a show around you".

But Meghan said, laughing: ?"No, there will be no reality shows".

Moments earlier, the duchess revealed she desperately tried to appear on Cohen's popular late-night chat show Watch What Happens Live when she was promoting the second season of Suits.

But she was turned down by the show's producers.?

"I was so eager to be on your show because I was such a Housewives fan at the time and I just couldn't get booked, Andy! So thanks for being here with me," Meghan said.

Cohen admitted he had suspicions that Meghan had tried to appear on his show.

"You know what's so funny, I had that feeling when we started to forensically figure out if it was you because we had a sense," he said.

"We kind of put it together a little, we were like, 'I think she may be a Housewives fan but even worse Andy, we think we didn't have her on the show'."

He added: "It is now the biggest blunder in the 13 years of the show, so it's a great story."

Meghan said she was initially a big fan of reality ?television.

"I stopped watching the housewives when my life had its own level of drama, that I stop craving [other people's drama]," Meghan said.

In 2020, a spokesperson for the couple dismissed rumours they were pursuing a reality television contract.

"The Duke and Duchess are not taking part in any reality shows," the spokesperson said.

Earlier this year, Meghan teased what her and Prince Harry's Netflix series would be about saying it would show "the piece of my life I haven't been able to share, that people haven't been able to see จC our love story".?

Meghan's podcast series Archetypes has now come to an end after 12 episodes.

Whether it will get a second series remains unclear.
