Parents name and shame their 'least favourite' baby names
By Victoria Owens|
When it comes to baby names everyone has an opinion, which is why many parents stay so tight-lipped until the baby arrives.
But with the explosion of social media and sharing every inch of our lives online, baby names have become a hot topic and it seems the entire internet has something to say about them.
One parent has called out their "least favourite" baby names for the entertainment of anyone on Reddit who'll play along.

Kicking it off with a quick disclaimer, the writer says they are "not trying to make fun of anybody who has these names for their children" before naming and shaming the following baby names.
"My least favourite baby names that are wildly popular right now are Declan, Arlo, Juniper, and Aspen," the Reddit user said.
"Mainly because we have those two trees here where I live and they just remind me of really old people."
The writer goes on to question the name Declan which they are "confused by" because they "don't know who to imagine" when they hear that name.

Next on the firing line is Arlo, which the writer admits is "a wonderful and adorable name for a baby" but says they can't "imagine that name on a grown man".
The opinionated writer then throws it out to the masses, asking what are some names that you think are absolutely ridiculous but that are also very trendy?
More than 250 people have responded, slamming everything from Braxton to Blakely, Colorado to Camden.
One respondent goes so far as to say: "Braxton. I HATE it. It makes me think of Braxton hicks."
While another parent agrees: "Anything -axton. Daxton, Braxton, Jaxton. What an ugly cluster."
Paisley is another name that seems to conjure up a lot of hatred on the Reddit thread.
"I really don't like Paisley either. I think the pattern is hideous, and I don't want to associate a baby with it."
Juniper is next to cop some criticism.
"Juniper as well. I have Juniper in my yard. It is a shrub. It isn't pretty."
Another writes, "I have an irrational hate for Saylor. It's like someone misspelled Taylor Swift and typed Saylor Twift instead."
While one parent says this next name has gone too far.
"Nevaeh I just, I hate it."
"By far the worst thing about this name is that no parent who uses it can seem to tell anyone what their child is called without the 'it's heaven backwards' accompanying it. A) we know and b) we don't care."
