Kennedy's grandson hit out at TV show's 'super creepy' act with Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy's clothes

Jack Schlossberg, the only grandson of 35th United States president John F. Kennedy, has spoken out about an auction of his aunt Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy's clothes.
The 31-year-old happened to catch a segment on the US Today show about Sotheby's second annual Fashion Icons auction, including three clothing items that belonged to his late aunt, Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, who was married to his late uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr.
Bessette-Kennedy was known as a fashion icon when she was alive, and interest in her only compounded after her tragic death.

Bessette-Kennedy, 33 and her husband, 38, died in 1999 alongside her sister, ?Lauren Bessette, 34, after the small plane piloted by Kennedy Jr. himself crashed in the Atlantic Ocean just off of Martha's Vineyard in 1999.
In response to the segment, ?Schlossberg wrote on his Instagram Stories, "Super creepy if you ask me.
"Have me on to discuss real issues w @savannahguthrie," he said, tagging the show's anchor, Australian-American journalist Savannah Guthrie.

He again tagged her and the show itself in a second photo of the show, with the caption reading, "I think you should interview young people (me) instead of a dress you found somewhere to make $$ of someone's death."
Schlossberg is an American writer and political correspondent in his own right, writing about politics for several publication in the past and being the political correspondent for Vogue since 2024.
His mother is Caroline Kennedy, the only surviving child of the late John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis จC and, presently, the US Ambassador to Australia.
Schlossberg has two older sisters, Rose and Tatiana, and their father is designer, author and artist Edwin Schlossberg.
Born John Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg, he is the only grandson of the former US President, who was assassinated in November 1963.

After decades with his family's name firmly embedded in American society and culture, Schlossberg has recently been getting his share of the spotlight.
This is largely thanks to his social media presence, ?with Schlossberg's quirky yet charming posts on TikTok and Instagram drawing plenty of attention in the past few years.
Equally, there's been curiosity over whether he might embrace his family legacy by dipping his toe in politics.

However, he confirmed to Town & Country in an interview that he had no plans to do so "any time soon".?
"I love politics. I love public service. I'm inspired by that legacy of my family. But I have no immediate plans," he told the publication.
