Tom Steinfort welcomes second child with wife Claudia: 'Dada is increasingly outnumbered'

T?om Steinfort has welcomed his second child with wife Claudia Jukic.

The 60 Minutes reporter shared the happy news on Instagram with a series of photos introducing their latest addition.

"?Welcome little Lotte, mama was amazing, sister is smitten, and dada is increasingly outnumbered by his gorgeous girl gang," he wrote.

In the first photo we see Lotte lying on a white blanket, dressed in a lace white onesie.

The second photo shows the couple's daughter Frederikke, two, holding her baby sister, a delighted smile on her face.?

In the third and final photo, Steinfort and Jukic are seated on a lounge chair, with Tom holding Frederikke, who is peering down at her sister as she's cradled by her mother.?

Steinfort told 9honey mum and bub are doing well: "Mum did amazingly and is amazing, big sister is very smitten and asking to hold Lotte every day."

Steinfort's Nine colleagues congratulated the couple on Instagram.

"Well done family," commented Today Extra host and musician David Campbell.

"Congratulations! Girl gangs are the best," wrote Nine's Belinda Russell, who is mum to three girls.

Geographical baby names for keen travellers

Steinfort told 9honey the family is looking forward to a low-key Christmas as they adjust to life as a family of four.

"For Christmas we are just keeping it local and lapping up the new baby bubble for as long as we can," he said.?

The family recently returned from a family holiday to France, where Claudia's baby bump was clearly visible, prompting speculation from Steinfort's followers.

"Is that baby number two?" one asked on a post featuring a series of photos, including one of the couple standing in front of the Eiffel Tower.

?Steinfort is expected to take three months of paternity leave following the birth of his second child, as he did in 2021 following the birth of Frederikke.

At the end of his leave that year, Steinfort shared a post on Instagram.

"Three months paternity leave done in what felt like three minutes!" he wrote.

"I'm very lucky to have an employer with such a supportive program for new mums and dadsกญthey didn't ask me to talk them up, I'm just grateful to have been there for my daughter's first steps, first birthday, first Santa photo, first swim lessons, and about 374 more trips to the beach together."?
