"It all started a few months earlier when I noticed my husband Jake watching prank videos," she wrote.

"Among other things, these videos showed embarrassing photos of the bride being played on a projector in front of the whole room or the bride's face being smashed into the cake."

She told him "straight away" that she "didn't want anything like that at our wedding" warning him that if anything was to occur she would "break up with him immediately."

The day of the wedding arrived and everything went smoothly until it came time to cut the wedding cake.

"Suddenly I felt a hand on the back of my head pushing me face first into the cake. Not only my make-up but the whole wedding dress was ruined and the whole room laughed, my husband the loudest."

?"I turned around, slapped him in the face and ran out of the room in tears," she said.

While she was in the toilet sobbing she heard loud shouting. It was Jake's brother Frank yelling at him over the prank.

When the new bride walked out of the toilet she saw the pair standing waiting for her.

"Jake was shaking and apologised without looking me in the eye," she recalled. "Frank told him to look me in the eye and apologise again. Even I was a bit scared of Frank at that moment, because I had always thought of him as a kind and gentle man. I had never seen him angry before."

The reception was cut short because she was so upset over the incident and she ultimately decided to leave her husband and file for divorce.

Frank also told her about suffering similar treatment as a child when Jake would throw his birthday cake at him and "break his presents", adding that their parents would "always brush it all off saying that's just how brother's behave."

Her new husband and both their families are begging her not to end the marriage labelling her choice "ridiculous" however she won't budge.

She ended her post by saying: "Call me humorless, call me what you want but I have given my reasons."

Reddit users were quick to offer their support for the new bride over her choice.

"I don't know why people think humiliation is a prank," one wrote. "If you have to explain that it was a joke, it's not funny.?"

"He lied and was disrespectful. Obviously not the things you want in a marriage. Divorcing him now will save you from dealing with more boundaries being broken and the heartache," another said.

Many agreed with Frank, that she deserves "better."

"Frank seems wonderful, is he married?" another asked.?
