The clues that helped popular TikToker predict the exact date of her engagement

By Jo Abi|

A? popular American Tiktoker who suspected her boyfriend was planning to propose has presented the clues to her fans, and the results of her investigation are surprising.

Gianna Marie, who goes by Gwizzle on TikTok, said she became suspicious when her boyfriend was "taking a little too long to get home from work."

The couple has each other's locations on their phones, so she checked and saw he was at her parents' home.

"I'm just documenting this, it's October 9th," she explained in the video, which chronicles her thoughts over the course of the next month.

Her next clue came on October 18. Gianna begins this clip by explaining she knew she was getting proposed to at some point because she and her boyfriend had discussed wanting to marry in the future.

"I'm just trying to figure out what day I'm getting proposed to," she said next, adding that she wanted to ensure her nails would be done for the photos.

She explained her boyfriend had wanted her to meet his extended family at Easter but she fell ill, so he made sure she was OK to attend their Halloween party so the meeting could happen "in a more controlled and calm environment."

This led her to suspect she would engaged before the next family gathering at Thanksgiving at the end of November.

By November 6, after the Halloween party, Gianna had had her nails done and noticed everyone acting "weird", which led her to believe the proposal would happen that week, which was in line with her original estimation of November 10 or 11, or on her birthday.

Her boyfriend knew she was busy on the Wednesday and Thursday night, but s?he would be free on Friday and Saturday, which were the 10th and 11th.

Gianna was already rethinking her nails, which were square French tips rather than her usual more bold look, and she had a hair appointment on the Thursday.

Then her mum told her to dress up for a birthday brunch on the Saturday.

"The thing that set me off is because normally whenever we go out to dinner?, any sort of thing like that, I dress very nicely," she explained.

"I like going out, I like dressing nice, and she made it a point to say, 'Make sure you dress nicer.'"

By November 10 she'd had her nails redone in green ovals?.

"I don't think I'm getting proposed to today but if I do the nails are ready," she said, adding that she'd be happy to be proposed to looking as she did that day, with her hair back and wearing a green giraffe jumper.

"Why should I look pretty for when you put a ring on it? You may as well just get what you're getting, you know," she said.

The video ends with her happily exclaiming, "I was right, I was right!" repeatedly as she shows off her engagement ring.

The proposal happened, as Gianna suspected, on November 11.

Her 6.7 million TikTok followers were thrilled for her.
