Lisa Marie Presley's daughter Riley Keough reveals baby's sentimental name

Riley Keough is honouring her famous grandfather Elvis in the most precious way. ?
The mum has revealed to Vanity Fair that her baby girl's name ?has two special references to family members จC one being to the birthplace of her famous grandfather.
"It's not really a well-known word or name in relation to my family จC it's not like Memphis or something," she explained.

Keough and her husband, Australian stuntman Ben Smith-Petersen welcomed their daughter Tupelo Storm via surrogate in August of 2022.
The parents kept the birth of their child a secret, until she was mentioned in a emotional letter Keough wrote and was read out by her husband during her mother Lisa Marie Presley's memorial service in January.
"Thank you for showing me that love is the only thing that matters in this life. I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, and the way you loved my brother and my sisters," Keough's husband said on behalf of the Daisy Jones & the Six star.
And for the first time since it was revealed, the mum is opening up about the decision to use a surrogate. ?
"I can carry children, but it felt like the best choice for what I had going on physically with the autoimmune stuff," Keough said.

The 34-year-old is also battling Lyme disease จC a bacterial illness where patients can sometimes experience symptoms of pain, fatigue, or difficulty thinking lasting for prolonged periods.
In her intimate Vanity Fair cover story, ?the mum revealed that she turned to her family's history to find inspiration for her daughter's name.
Tupelo refers to the birthplace of her rock-n-roll legend grandfather Elvis, who was born in 1935 in the state of Mississippi.
"It's funny because we picked her name before the Elvis movie," Keough said, referring to the fact that she and her husband didn't realist it would then be highlighted in the film.

"Then when the Elvis movie came out, it was like, 'Tupelo this and Tupelo that.' I was like, 'Oh, no.' But it's fine."
And it's not just her baby girl's first name that has a special meaning.
?Storm is her way of honouring her late brother Benjamin Keough, who shared the same middle name, and passed away in 2020 at the age of 27.
When talking about her daughter? the actress said that her role as a mum is incredibly important to her.
"I don't think you ever can be a perfect parent, but I would like to be the best mom for her that I can be."

She also doted about the special features her daughter has adopted from both her and her Aussie husband.
?"She's literally like someone shrunk my husband and that's our baby," the mum said, admitting she looks a little more like her dad at this age.
Though the little girl has inherited her mum's naturally curly hair. ?
