"After we had been dating for about five months, I asked... can I get Megan's number, I would like to text her," she explained.

"We had this passing moment. We were both at the same restaurant and we oddly made eye contact for a brief moment and I was like, 'This is not the place for us to meet for the first time.'

"And after that I was like... I would like to reach out to her and say, 'I am around your kids all the time. If you ever want to know anything about me or you even want to get coffee, let me know. They're amazing kids. I love them and if there is any way I can support in being a part of this situation let me know.'

"And I think she really appreciated that. She said 'thank you' and she thanked me for being great with her kids, too," she shared.
