The day Today Extra host Sylvia Jeffreys found out she and her husband Pete Stefanovic were expecting a baby via IVF is one she'll never forget.
"It was the best phone call of my life," recalls Sylvia. "I was walking home from the shops and I had said (to the doctor) 'can you wait until I get home and through the door' so Pete could hear as well. It was pure joy."
After undergoing IVF to have Oscar, now 20 months, it came as quite the surprise to find out she had fallen pregnant naturally with Henry, just six months after welcoming Oscar into the world.
"It was the biggest shock of my life! I'd only been back at work for four weeks so it definitely wasn't part of the plan," tells the journalist and presenter.
"A second child was definitely part of the plan, we always desperately wanted at least two so it was the happiest kind of surprise you could have, but it was a very big adjustment."
For now, Sylvia is very happy with her two boys but she does have embryos on ice that she isn't ready to part with just yet.??
?"I think a lot about the leftover embryos. I think a family of four feels pretty perfect for us but I'm still 35 (years old) so we're not being definitive on things at this point," she tells.
"We'll hold on to them for now, I'm not ready to let go of those little embryos just yet!"
