This $8 Kmart hack has been transforming cluttered kitchens for years, now its organising wardrobes

W?hile designed to keep files and folders organised on our desks, the $8 file rack from Kmart has become a popular storage solution for many other needs.
People have been using it in the kitchen for years to keep everything from baking trays, to chopping boards and pot lids tidy.
Now, a Sydney woman has found another brilliant use for the file rack by using it to keep her handbag collection organised in her wardrobe.
Sidrah Hammad shared her file rack hack in a reel on her Instagram page.

She revealed she got inspiration for the storage solution from professional organiser Anita Birges?, who uses the file racks in her kitchen cupboards.
"I use it to organise my small bags and clutches, makes it so much easier to see everything, whatever I need to grab I can just take it out, put it back in and no dramas everything stays organised," Hammad said.
To organise her bags, Hammad used multiple file racks across the top shelf of her wardrobe. The storage solution looks incredibly neat and tidy and means the bags can stand vertically to take up less space.

The new use for the file rack impressed many, including Birges, who commented on the video and shared it to her own followers.
If you want to give the file rack a go in your wardrobe, you better head to the shops soon as it looks like plenty of others will be snapping them up for their own closets.
"That's such a good idea. My purses are in a bin just tossed together?," a woman commented.
"I need to try it," one said.
"I am definitely trying this!" posted a follower.

The file rack's popularity for use outside the office is a reminder to think outside the box when looking for storage solutions.
?In addition to using the stationery item in the kitchen and wardrobe, Kmart shoppers have been using make-up brush caddies for coffee pod storage, and shoe racks as bench shelves.
