Couple slammed for explosive gender reveal stunt: 'Super dangerous'
By Naomi White|
A? couple has been slammed after a clip of their gender reveal went viral on TikTok.
While many couples opt to host a party where they find out the gender of their baby surrounded by family and friends, this couple's celebration was a little... extreme.?
Rather than opening an envelope filled with a pink or blue card or cutting a mystery coloured cake for the big reveal, they went a little OTT.

The couple, believed to be from Colombia, used a 'balloon bomb', which they lit indoors, as all their closest people gathered closely around.
In the clip, the mystery couple can be seen standing in front of a cake table topped with a yellow and purple balloon garland, brightly decorated with butterflies.
As they look excitedly at the camera, the dad-to-be lights a detonating cord, attached to the black, bomb-shaped balloon.
The expectant mum covers her mouth in anticipation as the cord burns closer to the balloon, before it bursts, with a loud bang, sending a gush of flames into the air.

The clip was uploaded to TikTok by Laura Salcedo, who is believed to have been a guest at the celebration, and who captioned it: "Nobody was hurt."
However many viewers slammed the stunt.
"It's super dangerous," said one person. "It's not a bad plan, but at what point did it occur to you that it was a good idea to put fire in a balloon with HELIUM!!!," added another.
"So y'all built a bomb," questioned a third. "Thank god that revelation did not go further," said another.?
The? clip also didn't make clear what the baby's gender was, however in a follow-up clip Laura said it was a girl.
The stunt is another in a long line of controversial reveals, which have been gaining negative attention in the last few years.
Last month a pigeon died after it was dyed pink for a reported reveal. ?While in another, a couple sparked outrage after letting off fireworks in a forest area which many argued had the potential to start a wildfire.
