'Are you joking?': Aussie influencer on the things she said before having kids - and they haven't aged well

When it comes to parenthood, we're all guilty of having some big ideas about how we're going to raise our kids before they're born.

But an influencer has taken a look back at some of the 'silly' little things she used to say while she was pregnant with her first child and lets just say, a lot of it hasn't aged well.?

Leah Jay shared the hilarious video on Instagram and so many mums laughed about the accuracy of it all.?

First off, Leah จC who's son Reeves will turn two in December จC said she was never going to change her schedule and the baby would just slot right into her routine.?

"Are you joking Leah? Your whole life revolves around Reeve's schedule," she said to the camera.?

"You sleep when Reeves sleeps, you eat when Reeves eats."?

Number two จC no screen time. Well, Leah is best friends with Miss Rachel and thinks she could easily audition for The Wiggles, which paints enough of a picture.?

No screen time, no sugar - Ha! The reality of life with a toddler is something very different. (Instagram)

As someone who also said 'No sugar' Leah changed her views on that completely during a recent trip to Italy when Reeves got plenty of gelato and Nutella biscuits to keep the peace.?

"Four: I'm just going to take my baby with me everywhere," she said.?

"Umm no you're not hon, you had postpartum anxiety for about six months and didn't leave the house."?

And lastly, at Number 5, "I'm going to be so bored on maternity leave".?

Cue the laughter from every mum out there that knows how delusional this thinking is because maternity leave is anything but a relaxing, nothing to do holiday.?

"Being bored is a luxury! I wish I was bored, how nice to have nothing to think about or nothing to do, just be bored. I'm never bored. How na?ve," she concluded.?

Mums couldn't get enough of the video and so many people related to the accuracy of it all.?

"Haha yes the last one is my favorite one. I long for the days when I had nothing to do," replied one mum.?

Another commented, "Too relatable. Far too relatable."?

"Hahahaha this is the most relatable video I've ever watched," echoed another mum.?

A lot of others just praised her for the hilarious honesty of it all because clearly a lot of us felt like this at one stage before kids.?

"This honesty is priceless! It helps for all new and upcoming mums to hear this," replied another mum.
