As King Charles gets ready to mark the first anniversary of his coronation on May 6, there's been on particular fashion accessory that has made headlines.
The cheeky print on a pink silk tie has been seen on the monarch across a number of poignant engagements since he took the throne in September 2022.
It's thought to have been a gift from grandson Prince Louis and is worn as a nod to him.
Most recently, King Charles was seen wearing his dinosaur-print tie on his return to public-facing duties following his February cancer diagnosis.
His Majesty had a hearty grin as he arrived at University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre in London on April 30, sporting the fun tie.
His Majesty was seen wearing the T-Rex tie - believed to be a riff of his Charles III Rex cypher, or C-Rex for short - as early as the Epiphany service at the church of St Lawrence, Castle Rising near the Sandringham Estate on January 8, 2023.
Rex is the Latin word for King and hence it follows his name. For Queen Elizabeth it was Elizabeth Regina, or ER.?
It's believed to have been a Christmas present from the young royal in December 2022, following the King's accession to the throne earlier that year.
A?ccording to Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story author Robert Hardman, the new additions to his wardrobe have put a spring in his step.
"The new mood has even permeated his wardrobe," he writes.
"Finding gifts for the man who really does have everything might be tricky, but, since his accession, his family have given the King several new ties.
"A particular favourite, seen on numerous occasions, from church at Sandringham to a walkabout in Manchester, is of pale pink silk with a light blue tyrannosaurus rex pattern printed all over it.
"Is the T-Rex motif a humorous, coded play on C-Rex? 'I couldn't possibly comment,' says one of his team with a grin, suggesting strongly that it might be."
And the dinosaur tie isn't the only "cheerful" sartorial style in the King's wardrobe.
Royal watchers have also see an owl and pussycat print tie, also believed to be from one of his grandchildren.
Here he wore it on a visit to the Felix Project on February 22, 2023 and most recently sported it on Christmas Day in Sandringham in 2023.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla released a new portrait ahead of the first anniversary of the coronation.
The image was taken in Buckingham Palace Gardens by portrait photographer Millie Pilkington on April 10, 2024 - the day after their 19th wedding anniversary.
Another momentous occasion for the monarch since his coronation has been the new currency featuring his likeness.
King Charles was presented with the first bank notes featuring his portrait from the Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey (centre) and Bank of England's Chief Cashier Sarah John (right) at Buckingham Palace on April 9, 2024.
They will go into circulation around the UK from June 5, 2024.?
"The King would have been involved in the process," Jennifer Adam, Curator at the Bank of England Museum tells 9Honey.
"All developments in banknotes to feature the monarch are signed off by Buckingham Palace."
So what does the monarch think of his new currency after the 18-month process?
"I can only imagine he approved," Adam laughs.
King Charles returned to the public eye alongside wife Queen Camilla as he attend the Easter Mattins Service at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle on March 31, 2024.
It marked his first official engagement in public since his cancer diagnosis but was a carefully controlled environment for the King, who was undergoing treatment at the time.
In a sign of his health and progress, King Charles undertook an impromtu walkabout and shook hands with members of the public waiting for a glimpse of the monarch, who had been out of the spotlight for two months.
W?hile King Charles didn't attend the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey on March 11, 2024, he did record a video message to the realms.
It marked the King's first Commonwealth Day message after his? coronation.
While undergoing his treatment, King Charles continued with state business - both in person where appropriate and virtually otherwise.

A day earlier, on March 5, King Charles shook hands with the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt (left) in the private audience room at Buckingham Palace.

Following a week in Sandringham, the monarch returned to London for treatment on February 13, 2024.
King Charles was seen for the first time following his cancer diagnosis, attending the Sunday service at the Church of St Mary Magdalene on the Sandringham estate on February 11, 2024.
King Charles left The London Clinic with his wife Queen Camilla in late January, following a routine procedure for an enlarged prostate.
It was during this procedure a form of cancer was discovered, though Buckingham Palace have said it's not prostate cancer.
The King began treatment immediately and took a step back from front-facing duties for three months.?
King Charles led the royal family in his first Christmas Day service since his coronation on December 25, 2023.
It's a place his son, Prince Harry, knows well after multiple court cases against various UK media outlets as well as the government.
On December 14, King Charles made a visit to the Royal Courts of Justice in London.
However, the monarch wasn't there for a case.
The 75-year-old was there to celebrate the work of His Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service with staff and volunteers.
The King heard about the work of voluntary magistrates supporting the justice system and the outreach work undertaken by diversity and community relations judges and magistrates.
