Prince Harry makes a surprise appearance at NFL event after returning from the UK

Prince Harry has made a surprise appearance at the NFL Honours Awards just a day after returning from his visit to the U.K.
The Duke of Sussex had flown to see his father following the monarch's news of a cancer diagnosis, reportedly spending just 30 minutes with King Charles before returning home.

Harry attended the event to present the Walter Payton NFL Man of The Year award to Cameron Heyward, who is a defensive tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"All you guys do on and off the field is truly remarkable," he began before giving out the award.
"You are role models for millions in the way you carry yourselves and the way you give back. This final award จC the highest honour จC is all about serving your community. And there's one special man we'd like to pay tribute to now. A player who goes above and beyond and whose extraordinary commitment to helping others is a reflection of his own story," he added.

Heyward, who received the award was overjoyed to have Prince Harry name him the NFL Man of The Year.
"Man, Prince freaking Harry. Man, I'm in shock. That's Prince Harry," Heyward said once he was on stage.

In 2022, the Duke of Sussex attended his first-ever Super Bowl alongside his cousin, Princess Eugenie.
The Los Angeles Rams ultimately won the game, which saw Prince Harry making a visit to the triumphant team's locker room.

This marks Prince Harry's first public appearance following the news of his father's cancer diagnosis. The prince flew back to London from California to see the monarch within hours of the news becoming public.
The details of King Charles' cancer were revealed on Tuesday, discovered during his prostate procedure the previous month.

"His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual," the palace said in their statement.
