Royal rainbow at traditional Guildhall reception for Queen's Platinum Jubilee

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have skipped the Guildhall reception part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee but there were still plenty of royals in attendance.
Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge led the list British royal family members at the traditional luncheon, hosted by the Lord Mayor of London.
The Queen who was absent from today's event, previously attended Guildhall for a lunch after her Coronation in 1953, as well as during her Silver, Golden and Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The event sees the royals mix with politicians and Governor-Generals from around the Commonwealth, which may also indicate why the Sussexes chose to skip it.
Guests such as Mike and Zara Tindall, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie headed straight to Guildhall from St Paul's Cathedral, where they were treated to English bubbly and wines from Australia and New Zealand.

The extensive menu included capes of smoked Norfolk duck breast with grapes and balsamic, smoked salmon and dill, beetroot shortbread with whipped goats cheese and cocktail sausages.
While there was Coronation chicken with grapes and rice salad, Welsh shepherd's pie, cod and chips, trout and rare fillets of Hereford beef all served up in a buffet.
And for desert, guests had vanilla clotted cream ice cream and chocolate dipped in strawberries.
The fashion was as interesting as the menu with a kaleidoscope of bold colours Her Majesty would certainly approved of, especially when Zara and Sophie Winkleman (who is married to Lord Frederick Windsor, son of the Queen's cousin) posed side-by-side.
Meanwhile Lady Gabriella Windsor (Lord Frederick's sister) and Lady Louise opted for more pastel and neutral tones in their chic ensembles.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson attended the event, along with former PM Theresa May and Mayor of London (not to be confused with the luncheon host Lord Mayor of London) Sadiq Khan.
Her Majesty pulled out of the Friday's events after experiencing "some discomfort" following Trooping the Colour on Thursday. She will also skip the Epsom Derby on Saturday, the palace confirmed.
