When at Balmoral, the Queen was often seen riding horses or driving her Range Rover over the estateĄŻs rugged terrain.
The extended family take part in fishing, hunting, picnicking, and barbecuing.
Princess Eugenie described the many things the family does while at Balmoral, including, "Walks, picnics, dogs - lot of dogs, thereĄŻs always dogs - and people coming in and out all the time.
"ItĄŻs a lovely base for Granny and Grandpa, for us to come and see them up there, where you just have room to breathe and run."
The general public can stay at Balmoral between April and July, renting one of the handful of cottages on the estate.

Hello reports the Cambridges headed to the popular holiday spot ĄŞ a destination William visited as a child with his parents ĄŞ not long after attending the Euro2020 final in London.
It isn't known which of the islands they were based at, but last year the family was spotted cycling around Tresco Island.
In 2020, when coronavirus restrictions meant travel abroad was not possible, Princess Sofia of Sweden shared photos from her family holiday with Prince Carl Philip and their children.
The royals stayed at S?rmland, on the south-east coast of Sweden.
Sofia said the area had "something for the whole family" including cycling tracks and strawberry fields.
