What time do you wake up?

"These days, my alarm clock is my 10-month-old daughter and she usually considers it playtime at the crack of dawn. Luckily, she loves a snuggle in bed before we get the day going. "

How many alarms do you set?

"I have never been a morning person, nor have I been great with alarms. I usually have to set five alarms, five minutes apart and I'll still hit the snooze button. "

Tea or coffee?

"I'm 100 per cent a coffee person! Being Italian, I have always loved my morning caffeine hit, but never have I needed it more than since I became a parent. It is the only thing that helps me get through the day after those sleepless nights. "

TV or radio, podcast or silence?

"As a Presenter for 9News Local, the first thing I do is pop on the TV to get the day's headlines and to keep abreast of any unfolding issues, before our screen is overtaken by The Wiggles or Sesame Street.

"However, in the car on my 1.5-hour trip to work I have a number of podcasts I religiously listen for my true crime, celeb gossip and beauty fix. "

What do you eat for breakfast?

"My mum would shake her head at this, but I often skip breakfast, purely because I am so busy getting my daughter ready for her day and simply forget. If I get time, my go-to is porridge or scrambled eggs. "

How long does it take you to get out the door?

"These days, it feels like it takes me forever to get out of the house. Between organising my daughter's lunch, day bag and picking her cute little outfit, while trying to persuade her to stop playing for two seconds to get dressed, the mornings quickly escape us.

"I am so lucky to have an amazing team of angels that glam me up for work and do my hair and make up every day. I have a simple skin care routine, pop my hair up and then head out the door. "

Any unusual morning rituals or habits?

"I wouldn't call it unusual, but my ritual at the moment consists of getting bub's milk ready and having a cuddle in bed together. She doesn't sit still for long, so it often ends up in a game of peek-a-boo or some out-of-tune singing of 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star'. "

What's the one thing you never have time for in the morning?

"Breakfast! Luckily on the weekend my hubby will always make up for lost time and treat me to a nice home cooked big breaky."

What's the one thing you always do in the morning?

"I always go for a walk along the beach in the morning. I am really lucky to live in the beautiful coastal city of Wollongong, where we are blessed with a gorgeous coastline. I don't feel like I have started the day right if I haven't seen the ocean. "

You can catch Natassia on 9News Local Southern New South Wales and ACT at 5:30pm Monday-Friday, followed by the state-wide bulletin at 6:00pm.
