'Will not be broken': Rep for Harry and Meghan blasts criticism aimed at couple during their Canada trip

A representative for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has ?responded to criticism the couple received ahead of their trip to Canada.

Telegraph UK Royal Editor Hanna Furness wrote in a recent article that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have "three days to prove they can behave" and "keep schtum" (meaning to stay quiet) during their trip to Canada to mark one year until Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025?.

Furness made the comments following Harry's trip to the UK to visit his father King Charles who is being treated for cancer.

Shortly after the couple launched their new website Sussex.com.

A representative for the couple told The Mirror that Harry and Meghan will "not be broken."

"We've heard time and time again that certain opportunities are make or break for the couple," they said.

"They're still here," the representative continued. "This couple will not be broken."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex haven't worked for the monarchy since 2020 when they resigned as senior working members.

They relocated to California in the US where they reside in Montecito with their children Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2.

They launched an organisation called Archewell in October 2020. This website link now redirects to their new website Sussex.com.

A source close to the couple defended the couple's choice to use the name Sussex, telling The Mirror: ?"Prince Harry and Meghan are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. That is a fact. It is their surname and family name."

In an attempt to 'unify' their family, Prince Harry and Meghan have reportedly given their children the Sussex title as their surname.

Despite calls for the couple to be stripped of this name, it isn't likely to occur under King Charles' rule and requires a Bill in Parliament.

There is speculation Prince William could pursue this once his time as king comes.

Harry and Meghan arrived in Canada on February 14 ?and will spend the next three days meeting with competitors preparing to compete in the event.
