'Counting down the days until we return': Harry, Meghan's powerful message

Harry and Meghan say they are "counting down the days until we return" following their trip to Canada to kick off the one-year countdown to Invictus Vancouver Whistler 2025.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent three days in Canada attending events ahead of the next Invictus games.?

"We loved being back in Canada, a place so meaningful to both of us," the couple told PEOPLE.

"It was an honour to be welcomed by the Four Host First Nations, as we marked One Year To Go, together with Invictus coaches, competitors and families," they continued.

"It filled our hearts to once again be surrounded by Canadian people, food and culture. We felt the Invictus spirit and excitement throughout Whistler and Vancouver, and are so grateful to all our hosts for organising such a memorable visit.

"We're counting down the days until we return!" the royal couple added.

Michael Bublจฆ calls Prince Harry a 'visionary'

Prince Harry, 39, and Meghan Markle, 42, attended a One Year to Go dinner at the Vancouver Convention Centre on Friday.

Earlier in the day the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent time with Canadian singer Michael Bublจฆ and his wife Luisana Lopilato?. At one stage Harry and ?Bublจฆ tried their hand at wheelchair curling, cheering each other on.

Bublจฆ and Lopilato joined Harry and Meghan at the dinner reception, with the Canadian singer performing.

Before launching into his impressive performance he said "we can show Harry and Meghan how beautiful this place is," PEOPLE reports. Bublจฆ also reportedly labelled Harry a "visionary" and sent "healing wishes" to King Charles who is undergoing outpatient treatment for cancer.

During their trip to Canada from February 14 to 16 the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the Winter Training Camp and spent time with Invictus participants.

Winter sports are new to the Invictus Games and will include alpine skiing, snowboarding, biathlon, Nordic skiing, skeleton and wheelchair curling.

Harry and Meghan are expected to return home to their children in Montecito, California.
